Lindsay Dombrowski

has been participating in this world by way of movement since she can remember. A theatre geek and dancer in her youth, Lindsay followed her passions to New York University where she graduated Tisch School of the Arts cum laude. She met yoga in college and yoga showed her a pathway to continually meet herself. She worked with some wonderful people for 9 years at Yoga to the People, taken by the mission of donation-based yoga accessible to all. YttP’s owner, with whom she worked closely with, was not the teacher she thought he was and she struggled to learn the potency of autonomy — first by giving hers away and then through the power of reclamation. Currently a student of Maia Heiss practicing the Mysore Astanga system, she has spent over a decade in various relationship with yoga and it’s branches. She shares her work in classrooms around the Bay Area as well as virtually and on location with Julia Planine-Troiani and The Untraining. She has taught in major cities across America and has studied in New York, LA, Thailand, and India. Lindsay believes in humanness and spirit both. She believes in the power of a daily check in and in many one-points. She believes in learning and unlearning; she trusts she has much more of that to do and undo. She engages with the yoga in the aim of becoming a more fully realized citizen of both our inner and outer worlds. She’s eager to sit together in the work and to see and speak to what comes up.
